From a rice by-product to engineered wax performance
Rice bran wax is obtained during refining of rice bran oil through cooling, crystallization and separation. Its long-chain fatty acid ester composition is comparable in important ways to carnauba and montan waxes.
Building on wax-processing experience, China United developed chemically modified rice bran wax grades intended for wider use in demanding industrial formulations.

Qualifications and certifications
Designed with global market access in mind
The company brochure states that REACH registration has been completed for oxidized rice bran waxes and that China United has played a leading role in registrations for esterified and saponified rice bran waxes.
It also notes that European food-contact certification is being pursued for selected esterified grades.
